Arsenal ‘in trouble’…Munich ‘in the mix’ for first choice signing

“Bayern Munich (Germany) 토토사이트 coach Thomas Tuchel is interested in signing Declan Rice (24, West Ham United),” British outlet Sky Sports reported today.

Rice is considered one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League. He covers a wide area of the field with his physicality. He’s a solid defender and is good at protecting the back line. He’s also a good passer and helps the team move forward.

Currently, he is Arsenal”s top priority. The Gunners are looking to strengthen their midfield for next season”s UEFA Champions League (UCL). According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners have already set aside 90 million pounds ($146.9 million) to sign Rice.

Rice is also expected to leave this summer. The ongoing interest has made him determined to leave. His contract with West Ham expires in June 2024.

This is where Munich entered the fray. Tuchel wants a defensive midfielder. However, the publication questioned whether they could afford the expensive transfer fee.

The Bavarians are known for not spending as much money as other big clubs. Their €80 million transfer fee for Luca Hernandez in 2019 is a “club record”. West Ham’s asking price is higher than €80 million.

They also need to clear the midfield first. The arrival of Konrad Reimer from Leipzig is already imminent. The existing midfield is likely to be cleared out.

Marcel Xavier and Ryan Hrabenbergh, who is on loan at Manchester United (England), are among the candidates for release. The media has also raised the possibility of selling Leon Goretzka if the two are not cleared. There is a lot of work to be done to sign Rice.

Meanwhile, according to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are considering the likes of Nabil Neves (Wolverhampton) and Moises Caicedo (Brighton) as back-up options if they fail to land Rice.
