‘AVG 0.244’ Kim goes hitless vs. Cubs…5 hits, 1 run, 1 walk in San Diego

Kim Ha-seong (San Diego Padres) has been quiet at the plate.

Ha Sung Kim started at shortstop 먹튀검증 in the sixth inning of the Padres’ 2023 Major League Baseball home game against the Chicago Cubs at Petco Park in San Diego, California, on Friday. He went 0-for-4 with a walk and two strikeouts. On the season, he is batting .244 with 42 hits in 172 at-bats.

Trailing 0-5 in the bottom of the second inning with the bases loaded, Kim struck out swinging on a 91.3-mph fastball off Marcus Stroman on a 1B2S pitch. In the bottom of the third inning, down 1-7, with runners on first and second, he grounded out to shortstop off Stroman’s slab.

Kim Ha-seong led off the bottom of the sixth inning with a 1-7 pitch, a sinker, but was retired on a fielder’s choice. With two outs in the bottom of the eighth, also down 1-7, he struck out on a Michael Fulmer sweeper. San Diego was held to one run on five hits and fell to 1-7.
