The Doosan Bears held the ‘2023 Doosan Bears Ki Baseball Tournament Awards Ceremony’ before the KIA Tigers game at Jamsil Stadium on June 6.
The Doosan Bears Baseball Tournament was held for the first time in four years due to COVID-19. The tournament was divided into primary (U13) and little divisions. The primary division, the ’37th Seoul U13 Baseball Tournament’, was held from July 10 to July 17 at Guui Baseball Stadium, with 21 teams participating. The Little Division, the 36th Little Baseball Championship, was held from July 25 to July 29 at Jangchung Little Baseball Field and Hwaseong Dream Park, with 25 teams, including two local teams from District 2, competing for the title.토토사이트
The primary division was won by Yonghwa Elementary School and the runner-up was Dogok Elementary School. The Little Division was won by Yeongdeungpo-gu Little Baseball Team and the runner-up was Nowon-gu Little Baseball Team.
In addition to the awards ceremony, the tournament also featured a pitching and hitting ceremony for the winners. Primary Division MVP Lee Ha-joon (13, catcher) and Little Division MVP Kim Hyun-jae (14, pitcher/outfielder) threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Lee said, “I’m really happy to be able to throw out the first pitch for my favorite team, the Doosan Bears. My dream is to become a catcher representing Korea like Yang Ji,” he said. Kim Hyun-jae said, “Thank you for giving me unforgettable memories for the rest of my life. I want to grow up to be a great pitcher like Kwak Bin.”
Meanwhile, the Doosan Bears have been committed to the development of grassroots baseball since 1986, when they hosted the first children’s baseball tournament.
