Ukraine’s Solomiyia Vratycko offered a message of hope after Hyo Won Seo knelt down in the round of 64 of the women’s singles at the World Championships.
The Ukrainian athlete was unable to train properly, but she had a smile on her face.
Vratyko, ranked 190th in the world, lost 1-4 (9-11 4-11 5-11 11-3 7-11) to Hyo Won Seo in the women’s singles second round on day three of the World Table Tennis Championships in Durban, South Africa, today (25).
“I’m happy to be here and I’m really grateful for this moment,” said Brateiko, who lost the match.
“I was very happy to play against such a good opponent and it was a good match,” said Hyo Won Seo.
Although she was outclassed by the world number 108, she was able to come back from a three-set deficit to take the match in four sets 메이저놀이터.
“I can’t train normally in Ukraine right now, so I’ve been practicing in Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, and other countries for the past year,” she said. “I had to ask if I could train and if it was free, and I’m really grateful for that.”
